Wiltshaw & Robinson Blushware Pattern 1890 to 1916 era This is the home to of the early Wiltshaw & Robinson patterns. Not all the patterns in this list are Blushware, but they where first produced in the 1890 to 1916 era, which is when Wiltshaw and Robinson conceived the majority of their Blushware patterns. There is much unknown about this early period of W&R Carlton Ware's production. I have just done my first photo shoot for the Blushware page and there are issues that I had not envisaged. For instance many of items have numbers on the base that cannot be pattern numbers – it is all very confusing. I will make a start with the information that I have and if any one can help with information off the base of the examples they own it would be appreciated. I would really like to get as many examples as possible with either the Pattern Name or the British Registration Number and if they have it the hand written pattern numbers. I must thank the curator of “The Parnell Collection” for allowing me access to her fantastic collection, for without her help and passion this page would still be in a figment of my imagination.
The early W&R patterns where first released under Wiltshaw & Robinson's Blue Bird makers mark, this mark was introduced in 1890 so these will be the first pattern covered in this page. I have discovered that a lot of these early W&R patterns have no name or pattern number. So I will also be building a web page especially for them. Wiltshaw & Robinson Poppy ~ 304 - circa 1890
Note the Registered Design Number (RN number) - this dates this patterns registration to 1884 - which is very interesting as it is 6 years before Wiltshaw and the Robinson brothers formed the W&R company. Did W&R buy this pattern off another company or another indiviual?

W&R portion of the mark indicates that this was manufactured at circa 1995, but the pattern was first registered in 1884 - there's no debating this point.

This mark is off the base of the W&R Cloisonne Ware Chinese Quail Cylinder Vase, it is very hard to give a production date to this item othere than some time in the first decade of the twentith century. I believe that Morelands Bristal would have been a shop in Bristol which is a city in the south west of England. Wiltshaw & Robinson Grecian Figures ~ 601

This is an example of an item with two RN's; I can only hazard a guess that one is for the sahpe and tht the other if for the pattern. Both of the RN's date to 1905
