This is an interesting veriation on the Parrots pattern, there is only one Parrot on this minaturne vase and the Parrot it self is different to those on all the other examples that I have seen of this pattern.

This pattern has a very impresive decorative frieze aroud the rim - conbind in this frieze are 4 cartouches with chinese sybols. I have also been shown a very sweet medallion which has one of the same symbols on the front (see below).
