Ginger Jars

It would seem that Ginger Jars were very popular in the early twentieth century United Kingdom, they were made by many companies, so it is only fitting that Carlton Ware should climb aboard this particular marketing gravy train. What I really wonder is how many of them were ever use to store Ginger, hardly the most common vegetable in the Edwardian UK.
