Presented for consideration is a magnificent hand painted Royal Winton Hydrangea lustre display plate. This awesome plate is hand painted in vibrant colours with a magnificent lustre glaze over the top, I love the Lace Cap Hydrangea flowers. It has a black stamped under glaze maker’s mark of the style that was in use from 1932 until 1942. There also looks to be an impressed date code – it is hard to make out – but I believe it is 39, so 1939. This magical display plate measures 24.5 cm (9.75”) diagonally across. It is in EXCELLENT condition, with no chips, cracks, or stains. As is most often the case with this vintage and style of production, it does exhibit some light crazing, this is restricted to white of the plate back. I have always had a special affection for the Royal Winton hand painted lustre patterns, especially the ones of the 1920’s and 1930’s. This is just a divine artwork. Hit the BUY IT NOW tab and make sure that this beauty is not pilfered right out from under you nose.
