Presented here for consideration is a Carlton Ware Rouge Royale Coffee Cup & Saucer. It has the black stamped under glaze maker’s mark of the style that was in use from 1925. 
Please note it is not marked Rouge Royale, this is most often the case with cups and saucers as the base is too small for the Rouge Royale stamp. 
The saucer has a diameter of 11.2 cm (4.5") and the cup has a mouth diameter of 6.5 cm (2.5") and when it is on the saucer it stands 7 cm (2.75") tall. 
This set is in outstanding condition; there are no chips, cracks, stains or repairs. Neither is there any wear to magnificent lustre Rouge Royale finish or to the extensive gilding. The only crazing is to the white base of the saucer.
