Carlton Ware Blue Rita Shaped Cup & Saucer #AX052 |

Presented here for consideration is a Carlton Ware Blue Royale Coffee Cup & Saucer in the Rita shape. It has the black stamped under glaze maker’s mark of the style that was in use from 1925 until 1975. These would date from the late 1940’s or early 1950’s. It is not marked Bleu Royale, but it is this colour. 
The saucer has a diameter of 11.2 cm (4.5") and the cup has a mouth diameter of 6 cm (2. 25") and when it is on the saucer it stands 7 cm (2.75") tall. 
It is in EXCELLENT condition; there are no chips, cracks, stains or repairs. There is no wear what so ever; the gold looks as if it was only applied yesterday instead of sixty years ago. The only crazing is on the white base of the cup.
