Five Pattern Numbers & Variation

2041 white gloss, blue frieze, Under glaze - 2342 red lustre - 2351 orange lustre - 2352 steel blue lustre ground  - 2858 light blue lustre

WILLOW is a factory name.

This is an unusual pattern in that there is a variation in a flow-blue colour-way. I cannot date this colour-way as it predates the modern pattern numbering system, but I would hazard a guess that it dates to 1900 to 1910 period. This Cheese Dish has a W&R mark and the Rd No 344146, I belive this regitstation number regards the shape and not the pattern; this Chesse Dish & Cover shape was introduced late in 1899.
