D5825 issued circa 1937 In volume two and volume five of Royal Doulton series ware; Louise Irvine identifies 8 scenes belonging to this series and I have added a ninth scene. The ninth scene is the landscape with a central tree which decorates the off side of many of the items. I believe this scene should be listed as part of the series as it is unique to this series. 1. Milkmaid with yoke.  2. Milkmaid with stool & bucket.
3. Maid at well.  4. Maid at pump.  5. Old Lady with basket & stick.  6. Old man with scythe.  7. Girl feeding chickens.
8. Young Woman gathering flowers.
9. Rural scene from beyond the garden wall.

20 cm (8") square "Afternoon Tea" Cake Tray 
D.4932; Dated July 1932 25 cm (9.75") across handle & 19 cm (7.5") wide These cake trays come with an EPN&S handle that fits into the set of holes that are located on each end. These trays are not a very common shape to find, it is very rare to find them with there handle intact. All of the examples of this shape that I have seen seem to date from the 1930's onwards (of course as soon as I say this is the rule some swine is going to find an exception). Tray - Shape 8089
