Teapot Stand or Trivets

Most of the trivet shapes can serve for several different shaped teapots, so in most cases it is not possible to name them as being for any one shape, there is however an exception to this rule. A trivet made to suit a Friar teapot really only suits a Friar teapot. I have decided to list the Trivet shapes giving each a letter to define which is which, except of course for the Friar as there can be no doubt which shape that it suits. To date I have identified 5 different shaped trivets decorated with Dickens Ware.   .

 Slops Bowl

A slops bowl was part of many early teasets, it was a bowl similar to an open sugar bowl, but generally it was a bit bigger. The idea was that one could empty the dregs of a cup of tea into the bowl before pouring a second cup.
